Once upon a time there were three trolls on the south coast of Iceland. Just as the night was coming to an end, they spotted a ship lost at sea, and waded into the water to drag it to shore. Just as the ship was saved, the sun rose above the horizon and turned them all to stone. The remnants of the trolls are still at the beach, etched into to stone by the sun and shaped by the reckless Icelandic weather.
